E&J Brandy & Cultural Moments

The Ask 
Authentically connect with our target while highlighting key brand pillars. 

E&J Brandy is a well-known alcohol in the Black community.  As the brand evolved, members of the Moosylvania team pitched a solution to this problem–a series of spotlights that would be hosted on the EJFamily.com site. 

The Results

A tradition of spotlighting changemakers from these communities around common cultural moments, allowing the brand to show up authentically.  
A highlight includes spotlighting Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth. 

MY ROLE IN THIS PROJECT

  • Hopped in and continued to aid in this spotlight program after my hiring. 

  • Worked with E&J Brandy team to brainstorm how the brand could show up during these cultural moments. 

  • Research and communicated with possible spotlightees. 

  • Ensuring team and brand feedback was communicated.

  • Working with finance team to ensure successful payment to influencers.

Using influencers to introduce Korean soju, Soonhari, to a US-based audience.
